“All-rounder for Team ALTERNATE Fancy. Committing fully to Heroes of the Storm competitive play.”

Greetings, I am Devizz, a professional Heroes of the Storm player currently playing for Team ALTERNATE Fancy. (Our team is currently ranked 6th in Europe).

I am 20 years old and I LOVE to play games (one of my greatest passions). I wrote countless guides throughout all the years of my gaming career and received immensely positive feedback.

During the past 6 months I have been playing Heroes of the Storm for 12 hours every single day. Throughout that time I have aquired a HUGE knowledge about the game and superb understanding of its mechanics. Having played over three thousand games in Heroes of the Storm, I'd like to think that I am one of the most knowledgeable players in the world. I'd like to share that knowledge with you.

I know many League of Legends players (some of them being Challenger players) that struggled with Heroes of the Storm and found it extremely frustrating since you can't carry the game by mechanically outplaying your opponent on lane. Hence the false assumption that Heroes of th Storm is a casual game with low skill cap in which personal skill is of no significance.  You can most definitely carry your team but you have to approach it in a different manner entirely.

In my spare time I mostly play games and I always strive to be the best while playing them (and I am usually pretty successful at it, given my accomplishments). I am not going to lie by telling you that after one hour you will be as good as the other pro players. There is no big secret that will make you the best, being good requires practicededicationa lot of time and a bit of talent. What I can promise you though is this: I will give you guidance that consequently will speed up your process of learning and most importantly, will make it more effective thus your skill curve will increase at a higher rate.

You should not be ashamed of making mistakes, you improve by doing so (assuming that you are aware of the said mistakes). We all make mistakes, they happen to me as well. The ones that realize this and try to reduce their number of mistakes to a minimum by hard work end up being the best there is.

As far as my experience is concerned, I've been playing Heroes of the Storm for over half a year now since the very early stages of Technical Alpha. During that time I've played well over 3,000 games (a huge part of them being tournaments and scrims versus best teams on the European scene such as Team Liquid or Gamers2). For quite a long time before I started practicing a lot with my current team I had the highest amount of ranked solo queue games in the entire world. I've also played countless other competitive games that require some sort of skill. Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War was one of the very first games that I was really good at, I remember playing it back in the day when I was still a young whelp and trust me, I kicked ass at it, other players were astonished that such a young kid can be so good at an RTS game, DoW will always be close to my heart, one of the best strategy games that I ever played. Period.

I am also an English Philology student hence I can offer you high quality lessons in English.

Typical Lesson Plan

First of all, I need to know your expectations and what you strive for, what your ambitions are. Some people want to know how to carry games in solo queue, others want to be better at playing with their team, it all depends upon what you want to accomplish. I will ask you what, according to you, is your best role, what are your strengths and weaknesses (as an example, you might be superb mechanic wise but at the same time, horrid at playing with your team, having map awareness or the opposite, you get the idea). Keep in mind, that I will still evaluate what you are good and bad at, I just want to know what YOU THINK - it helps a lot later on during our learning sessions.

Then, I will have to evaluate your skill and see some of your games. There are few ways to do this, either you can send me a replay of your game or you can live stream your match so that I can watch it live and give you hints, comment on your plays, tell you what you could have done better and so on.

After doing so we will go together through the things that in my opinion you are doing wrong and that you should improve upon.

If you want to know more about how our lesson will proceed, feel free to contact me.
