“Global Elite/ESEA/CEVO”

I've been playing Counter-strike since version 1.1, which amounts to over 10 years of experience and over 10,000 in-game hours.  I've been to numerous LAN events and was invited by my team to play CPL in 2001, but was too young to compete.  I've played in CAL-o through CAL-m, UGS-o through a, CEVO-o through m and ESEA-o through im.  I'm now older, getting a Master's degree and working as a Software Developer.  I would describe myself as friendly, laid back, but professional.

Typical Lesson Plan

I would start by talking about your computer, gear, finding your ideal sensitivity and go over basic commands such as net_graph to get you orientated with a competetive setup.  Counter-strike has a wide range of skills, so I would try to get to know your experience with Counter-strike and any other computer games to figure our where you lie.  Next, I will jump into game with you and watch you play and begin assessing your skills.  Traditional lesson segments would cover:

Gun control

Map understanding

Entry fragging

Game sense

I could also tailor the lessons to what you would like to know.  I am trying to help you get better, so typically I will watch you play, list and explain the mistakes you made that resulted in your death or team loosing the round.
